Living the Affûtés experience at home
In this strange period of confinement, the team has worked hard to offer you an experience close to that of les Affûtés, at home.
Adapting our courses is complicated because they often require machines. So we tried to create a different experience.
The solution we came up with? These kits, which require a minimum of tools (at most a hammer, screwdriver or sewing machine) and allow you to make lots of creations at your own pace, with paper and video tutorials.
Our DIY kits:
Tough stuff
Playful and practical kits, to learn manual skills while making a beautiful object out of sustainable materials.
Support to make them happen
Paper and video tutorials et live coaching sessions
Delivered or picked up on site
To allow everybody to order, you will be able to choose to pick it up or to have it delivered to your home.
Who makes these kits?
The teachers, called here the “Sharpeners”, have been specialists in their field for several years and are eager to share their skills to make the pupils autonomous. They regularly lead workshops at Les Affûtés and make the kits themselves.
Kits for whom?
It is essential for us to enable as many people as possible to discover manual skills. The kits are therefore made for all audiences, from young people (from 7 years old) to seniors. If a kit is more difficult, we specify this in the description.
And beyond the tutorials and online sessions, you can make your kit at les Affûtés, to get our help.
Offer a kit to a close one.
Do you want to support close ones in their manual projects, by offering them a Sharpening kit to make a beautiful project?
That’s a great gift, and we’re happy to help you do it. You can book a gift card of different values below, and the lucky recipient will then be able to choose the kit of his or her choice!
