You’ve already made cold-saponified soap, but don’t dare stray from your recipe? Would you like to take your skills to the next level by working on some of the must-have recipes of artisan soapmaking?

In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll (re)discover three great soapmaking classics that have stood the test of time for generations! We’ll be making two skin care recipes: Aleppo soap and Castile soap, followed by a recipe for a vegan all-purpose household soap, adapted from the famous ‘savon du pays’.

After an introduction to the ingredients and properties of these ancestral recipes, we’ll look at different techniques for incorporating natural active ingredients. These will bring even more virtues to our soaps, and allow us to personalize them! We’ll talk about medicinal plant macerates, exfoliating agents, softeners and stain removers.

Everyone will leave with 6 soaps (2 from each recipe), adapted to their needs and scented to their liking.

Would you like to learn woodworking and make something useful? Are you short of space and want to store your clothes or towels in style?

In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of woodworking by making a solid wood wall-mounted storage ladder! The ladder is equally at home in a bathroom, bedroom or hallway.

This will be an opportunity to discover different machines and techniques, such as the use of different drills to make clean holes; the miter saw to make straight and angled cuts; and the trimmer or router to mold an edge. We’ll also work on glue-and-bead assemblies.

Dimensions (H x W x D): 60″ x 16″ x 2 to 3″.

Skills required: none, except a love of wood and tidy apartments!

It’s sunny, it’s hot, and ice cream season is here! Would you like to make your own, and don’t want to have to choose which flavors to enjoy all summer long?

In this 3h30 workshop, we invite you into the frosty world of ice cream. Using an ice cream maker, we’ll learn about different freezing methods and temperatures, flavor variations and mixing techniques.

Using wooden spatulas and whisks, we’ll produce wafers and learn how to obtain creams with a smooth, creamy texture. Everyone will go home with two scoops of ice cream, two scoops of sorbet and two wafers.

Skills required: none! (This workshop is open to all sweet-toothed people.

Note: remember to bring a small cooler or other container to keep your produce cold!

Birdsong brightens your day, and you’d like to give them a cozy nest to hear and observe them up close?

In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to build a birdhouse out of solid wood.
You’ll learn how to use the tools and techniques to cut straight and at an angle with a miter saw, as well as how to drill holes with a drill press. You’ll also discover how to nail quickly and efficiently with a pneumatic nailer.
To complete the assembly, a piano hinge is neatly installed on the roof of the hut, prefect for maintenance and to keep an eye on the comfort of your little feathered tenants!

At the end of the workshop, we’ll prepare our cabin for the finish of our choice, whether oil, varnish or paint, following a fine sanding step.

You’d like to learn how to sew a reversible garment? Would you like to create and proudly wear linen made from fabrics from the circular economy?

In this 7-hour course (2 sessions of 3.5 hours each), Kathryn takes us into the world of recycling and offers us a great alternative for reusing small lengths of fabric: make a unique, personalized reversible top from scraps of all kinds!

We’ll cover the basics of sewing:

– Session 1: taking measurements; choosing fabric; tracing the pattern; cutting fabric; discovering the fundamentals of sewing and the machine; assembling a clamp; assembling parts.

– Session 2: lining assembly; support stitching; armhole and side assembly; hemming and finishing.

Skills required: none, this workshop is open to anyone interested in reusing materials.
