In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to make a roll-up case from fabric scraps, and customize its width to fit your collection of small tools. You can bring them with you to make sure you get the compartments just right.

The overall size of the open case is approximately 25cm x 30cm.

It is not designed for heavy, sharp tools such as kitchen knives or chisels.

Do you love woodworking and want to discover new techniques? Do you dream of a world of soft curves?

This 4-hour workshop will be the perfect opportunity to discover woodworking in a different way. We’ll learn the basics of steam bending solid wood, while making a beautiful floating display with harmonious curves!

First, we’ll cover the theory of bending and how a steamer works. Then, after a demonstration, we’ll work in teams to bend a piece of wood that will make up the display. We then move on to the use of different machines, such as: the bench saw, to make cuts; the router, to create the invisible wall-hanging system; and the sanders, for a beautiful final result.

Everyone will leave with a solid wood display unit measuring approximately 10″ wide X 9″ high X 2.5″ deep.

In this 3-hour workshop, woodcarving enthusiast Jesse takes us on a journey of discovery into a traditional Swedish craft, while creating a Dala horse! Carving horses is a great way to master the oldest woodworking tool: the carving knife. With its smooth curves, it’s also a zen-like way to express your creativity.

After an introduction to Scandinavian carving and the legend of the Dala horse, you’ll learn about basic tools and safety precautions. We’ll then move on to learning cutting, shaping and finishing techniques.

We’ll talk about the different ingredients, their specific characteristics and reactions. We’ll also go over the necessary equipment before getting down to the business of making three customizable fermented recipes!

Do you love woodworking and the smell of campfires? Would you like to discover pyrography on wood and create decorative objects that will add a natural touch to your aperitifs?

In this 3-hour workshop, Isabelle will introduce you to the decorative art of wood pyrography, by creating a set of 4 personalized coasters!

We’ll cover the basics: the equipment needed; tracing and transferring a sketch; pyrography methods; and the types of tips to use. We’ll then explore universal, tracing and shading tips, followed by basic techniques for filling, texturing and relief.

Each participant will be able to choose from several designs, and will leave with a set of 4 freshly engraved wooden coasters (size: 4×4 in.)!

Would you like to learn how to use a welding machine, understand the various welds and be able to create and repair a wide range of metal objects?

This 3-hour workshop has been designed to do just that. You’ll learn about

  • – physical theory (metal behavior, temperatures, distortion, types of metal…)
  • – the equipment needed for safe and enjoyable practice
  • – soldering techniques (use of the soldering machine, points, rounds, waves, short and long soldering seams…)

We promise you intensive practice and lots of fun fastening pieces of metal together.

Skills required: none. This workshop is open to anyone who loves to create sparks!

The workshop includes all materials and tons of tips from a welding pro.

Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. And although we offer a large apron and protective sleeves, long clothing is strongly recommended. Ideally not the clothes you hold most dear, in case a stray spark gets clumsily deposited.
