Welding – Level 2 – Making a mini rocket stove

This combustion stove uses 39% to 49%* less fuel than an open fire. It’s perfect for warming up a comforting drink or a tasty dish by the fire, outdoors.

During this 4-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to weld our mini rocket stove model:

– Understanding the physics (distortion, temperature…)

– Theory and practice of electrode welding

– Finishing grinding

The total dimension of the object is 9“ high x 9” long x 6” wide (including legs and pan support).

Skills required: have already done the Introduction to Soldering workshop (Soldering Fundamentals, Creative Sculpture, Coat Rack or Shelf).

Workshop includes materials, safety equipment, pro tips and sparks galore.

Note: This rocket stove is a miniature version of the one built in the 6-hour course.

In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to weld steel tubes to make your own wall-mounted bike rack that you can proudly mount in your own home.

You’ll develop your electrode welding skills in a fun and safe way, while learning all the basics.

Skills required: none. This workshop is open to anyone who’s curious, or just loves to spark things up!

The workshop includes all materials and tons of tips from a welding pro.

NB: Protective clothing is provided, but please dress in long clothes for the workshop and wear closed shoes.

This workshop is for you. Thanks to your welding skills, you’ll be able to create a small wall shelf that can be installed both indoors and outdoors. Made from ¾-inch square steel tubing, the structure is 16 ½ inches wide by 22 inches high. Fitted with 7 ½-inch by 15-inch plywood shelves, it will be very useful for holding books, knick-knacks, photos, lanterns, small sculpture, etc.

This 4-hour workshop will teach you all the fundamentals of welding:

– Finish grinding and painting
