Skills required: previous attendance at a bike workshop to learn the basics of bike maintenance (we won’t go back over the basics).

The Labo-Fûtés are small group workshops that allow you to go further in your project, while benefiting from personalized support, thanks to the expertise of our Sharpeners.

In this Lab, limited to 6 participants, Arnaud, our bike mechanic, will be there to guide you through your project.

To attend, you’ll need to come with a personal project, or with a project you’ve already started (maintenance, repair, tuning). Arnaud will be able to give you advice as you go along, and help you with a step that’s holding you up.

The tools will be made available to you, but note that you’ll need to bring all the consumables you’ll need (brake cables and/or pads, tubes, tires, parts, etc.).

It’s possible to come to the Village on the opening day for autonomy, to use the tools on your own ($9/hr).

Labo-Fûtés are small group workshops that allow you to go further in your project, while benefiting from personalized support, thanks to the expertise of our Sharpeners.

In this Lab, limited to 4 participants, Nina, our upholsterer, will be there to guide you through your project.

To attend this lab, you’ll need to come with a personal project or an idea for a project. Nina will be able to advise you on the design of your pattern, or guide you through a step that’s holding you up.

If you don’t come with your project, make sure you have detailed photos of the object so we can help you as best we can.

We have some tools on site, but note that you may not find what you need. You can always write to us beforehand to validate your project.

You’ll need to bring your own materials (straps, foam, fabric, etc.).

If the session is in the morning and on an open day for autonomy, it’s possible to stay longer on site if needed, to use the tools independently ($9 to $12/hr).

Please note that for reasons of space, we only accept projects involving a small 1-seater chair at the moment.

Required skills: to have already attended a workshop of initiation to the work of stained glass to know the bases of the cut and the welding (we will not return on the bases of the discipline).

In this lab, limited to 4 participants, Isabelle, our stained glass expert, will be there to guide you in your project.

To attend this lab, you will have to come with a personal project or with a project already started. Isabelle will be able to advise you in the design of your pattern, or guide you in a step that is blocking you.

Tools will be provided, but please note that you will need to bring your glass, copper tape and soldering wire.

If the session is in the morning and on an open day for autonomy, it is possible to stay longer if needed, to use the tools independently (9$/hr).

Skills required: know how to thread a sewing machine, have already completed a sewing project or have attended a sewing workshop at Les Affûtés.

Are you starting a personal sewing project and need a little help to move forward? You would like to learn specific and complex sewing techniques?

The Labo-Fûtés are small group workshops that allow you to go further in your project, while benefiting from a personalized accompaniment, thanks to the expertise of our Sharpeners.

During these 3 hours, our seamstress will be there to guide you and help you advance in your project. In a free format, our teacher will adapt to each and everyone to offer a personalized and more specialized guidance. If you have several small projects, you are also welcome, we will cover as many of your questions as possible in the time available.
This class will accommodate a small group of 6 people.

You can bring your own sewing machine, but please note that we have everything you need on site.

We provide the thread, buttons and all the necessary tools (pins, scissors, tape measure, chalk, thread cutter, iron, bobbin, pattern ruler…). Note however that fabric is not included, so please bring what you need to make your project.
