In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll discover the basic techniques of visible mending! Visible mending” is an embroidery technique that involves mending clothes visibly. The aim of this creative art is to highlight the traces of time, make your garments unique and give them a second life while embellishing them.
We’ll be learning a number of points and techniques that will enable us to repair our jeans, sweaters and fabrics of all kinds:
– How to consolidate textiles using the small backstitch or cover stains decoratively.
– How to repair rips and embellish garments.
– How to cover holes by embroidering, weaving directly onto the fabric or applying by applying suitable patches.
Skills required: none! This friendly workshop is accessible to beginners and can also challenge more experienced embroiderers.
