Have the plays of light through colored glass always dazzled you with their beauty? Would you like to treat yourself to a moment of gentle creativity?
In this 3-hour workshop, guided by our multidisciplinary artist, we’ll explore the luminous art of glass mosaic, transforming a simple jar into a vibrant candleholder.
We’ll learn how to properly glue the pieces of glass onto a surface, and then how to apply the grout. This final step will need to be completed at home due to drying time. All the necessary materials will be provided, along with a handy instruction sheet, and the technique will be clearly demonstrated during the workshop — including finishing and cleaning — to ensure a quality result.
A variety of glass jars will be available on site, so you can choose the one that inspires you most to create your own multicolored glass mosaic composition.
Your candleholder will measure between 8 cm and 15 cm in width and height, depending on your choice. Our colored glass comes in a range of shapes and sizes, as it’s made from reclaimed glass scraps in a spirit of circular economy.
Required skills: None — this workshop is suitable for everyone.
The workshop includes all materials, colored glass, plenty of tips from an experienced artist, and shimmering reflections of color that warm the heart!
Note: To take home some grout for finishing your project later, please bring your own resealable container to help reduce single-use packaging.
