During this 4-hour workshop, we will cover the basics of woodturning by making an incense holder. An ideal project for those who enjoy working with wood and love scents!
We will discover the wood lathe, its functions, and the associated tools such as profiling and hollowing tools.
We will then look at the basic techniques of between-the-points turning, chuck turning, and the different stages of making the incense holder: turning a cylinder, marking with a pencil, making a reverse tenon, installing in the chuck, shaping, profiling, sanding, and finally oiling the incense holder.
Object diameter: approximately 6-8 inches.
