Making a cell phone case from recycled leather

Are you always losing your cell phone in your bag? Would you like to discover the know-how of the leather industry, while recycling materials?

In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn all the steps involved in making a customizable cell phone case, using leather from the circular economy! We’ll learn a number of basic techniques for creating your first leather project: cutting the material, marking and opening stitches, hand-stitching with waxed thread, and riveting. We’ll also install an adjustable cord, so we can wear our cell phones around the neck or over the shoulder.

You’ll be able to choose from several colors of cord, thread and leather, as well as a suede or smooth exterior.
