Want to learn how to master the BBQ and nail your grilling, from lighting the fire to carving? This workshop gives you the fundamentals to cook meat and vegetables with precision and confidence. And if BBQ feels a bit intimidating, that’s exactly the point—our pro chef Clément guides you step by step, helping you build solid instincts and feel more at ease.
Over 3.5 hours, you’ll learn how to start and manage a cooking fire, then move on to prep: marinades, meat cuts, and spice blends to build balanced flavors.
Throughout the workshop, you cook along, step by step. You’ll work on grilling and quick smoking, while understanding the Maillard reaction (the browning that develops flavor) and its role in taste and texture. You’ll cook different cuts, from piri piri chicken thighs to souvlaki skewers, along with a cut of beef (depending on availability), adjusting doneness to preference (rare, medium-rare, medium, well done). A vegetarian dish, like feta-stuffed eggplant, rounds out the menu.
You’ll also take time to review the cooking process, understand what works and why, and learn how to properly carve cooked meat to keep it juicy and tender.
All equipment and ingredients are provided. No experience required—the workshop is open to anyone who wants to better understand and master BBQ.
A tasting is included at the end of the workshop.
