Are you a gourmet who’s always wanted to know how to make the best meat pies and tourtières? Want to impress your friends and family at your next winter dinner party?
In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll dive into the world of 100% homemade comfort food. In an artisanal way, we’ll discover how to make hand-kneaded shortcrust pastry. Using basic kitchen utensils, we’ll cook two great classics of Quebecois cuisine, and everyone will leave with: two mini tourtières du lac and a Montreal-style meat pie.
With a kitchen roller and knives, we’ll learn how to master the textures of a successful pastry, strike a balance between flavors and long cooking techniques (braising meat). We’ll also make an atoca compote to accompany your favorite dishes.
Skills required: none! This workshop is open to all.
The price includes all necessary materials, kitchen equipment and raw materials.
Note: remember to bring your containers so you can leave with the products you’ve made.
