Would you like to feel more comfortable in the kitchen, develop skills that will serve you for a lifetime, and make cooking a fun, creative, and rewarding experience?
This course, spread over 4 sessions, is designed to help you master the fundamental techniques of cooking while building your independence and confidence in the kitchen.
You’ll gradually learn the essential basics of cooking: how to use essential equipment, best practices for organization, cutting techniques, different cooking methods, and the art of creating balanced flavors.
– During the first workshop (3 hours), you’ll learn to prepare vegetables with precision. You’ll explore different cutting techniques, the basics of cooking, and how to prepare flavorful broths. You’ll also prepare several side dishes that will help you understand how to create a harmonious plate.
– The second workshop (3 hours) is dedicated to proteins. You’ll discover how to prepare, cut, and cook fish, poultry, and plant-based proteins.
– In the third workshop (3 hours), the focus shifts to sauces, condiments, and plating. Using the preparations made earlier, you’ll transform your broths into sauces. You’ll also explore the principles of presentation that help showcase a dish both visually and in terms of flavor.
– The final workshop (4 hours) takes the form of a true culinary challenge. Drawing on all the techniques you’ve learned, you’ll design and prepare two recipes of your choice in an atmosphere inspired by a cooking TV show. The session concludes with a group tasting where everyone shares their creations, exchanges impressions, and celebrates the progress made.
By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a solid foundation, a better understanding of essential culinary techniques, and the tools you need to cook with greater confidence, creativity, and enjoyment every day.
