Would you like to feel more confident in the kitchen? You’re starting to cook, but the idea of handling sharp objects makes you nervous?
How about going back to basics? In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn essential vegetable cutting techniques, as well as the safest and most comfortable ways to handle your knife and organize your workspace efficiently.
Armed with knives and cutting boards, we’ll practice classic cuts—macédoine, brunoise, and julienne—which will then be turned into a flavorful broth. We’ll also cover a few more advanced techniques, such as segmenting citrus fruits and trimming an artichoke. Everything will come together in a lightly dressed salad.
Required skills: None! This workshop is open to anyone who wants to refine their technique, as well as to complete beginners.
Note: No meals will be served during the workshop. Plan to eat before the workshop or bring a snack with you!
