You’ll learn how to choose the right cuts of meat and master the fat-to-lean ratio—a detail that makes all the difference when it comes to creating a juicy, flavorful patty. On the bread side, you’ll get hands-on by making soft, golden potato buns from scratch.
Next, we’ll move on to the essentials that make all the difference: a homemade emulsified mayonnaise where you’ll have the freedom to create your favorite flavor (for example: spicy mayo, aioli, paprika, chive), as well as pickled onions and cucumbers to bring freshness and balance.
Finally, it’s time for cooking: you’ll explore the Maillard reaction (a browning technique to enhance flavors) to sear your meat like a pro, before assembling a perfectly structured burger where every element has its place.
