Would you like to discover the art of mosaic and add a little color to your home? Would you like to express your creativity while making a useful everyday object?
During this 3-hour workshop, Ricardo, a professional and passionate mosaicist, will guide us through all the necessary steps to create a mosaic. After a presentation of this art, we will take the time to create a personalized design and choose the colors, in order to create a unique mosaic mirror! We will also discuss the appropriate tools and the cutting of the pieces with pliers. Several techniques for placing and installing the tesserae will be discussed before moving on to gluing and finalizing the project.
The mirror sizes available are: a 9 x 9″ square with a 6 x 6″ mirror, or an 8 x 10″ rectangle with a 5 x 7″ mirror.
Skills required: none, except to let your creativity run free.
