Are you fascinated by meticulous metalwork, and dream of learning how to make your own jewelry?
In this 3.5-hour workshop, professional jeweler Marie-Julie will help you create brass pendant jewelry.
You’ll learn how to use a bocfil and saw blades to cut brass, followed by step-by-step metal-forming techniques. You’ll also learn how to use the mallet, hammer, steel pile, bouterolles and pliers.
We’ll then take a look at polishing and how to handle files, sandpaper and a rotary tool. Finally, you’ll create a simple assembly using brass rings.
You’ll be given a 10 cm x 10 cm brass plate from which you can choose to make a pair of earrings or a pendant (two if they fit on your plate).
We suggest you think of your design in advance, but if you’re short of ideas, you can also choose from predefined patterns on the spot.
Skills required: none. This workshop is open to anyone interested in discovering brass work.
Price includes money, tools and precious tips like jewelry!
