Upholstery is a mysterious world to you, but you’ve long dreamed of reupholstering that boring old armchair in the attic?
In this course of 3 x 3-hour sessions, you’ll discover the most appropriate techniques to tackle your upholstery project. Accompanied by one of our experts in this discipline, we’ll cover all the steps, tools and materials needed, as well as practicing the various techniques that require dexterity and meticulousness.
Among other things, we’ll learn how to strap with a hand stapler, work with foam, sew a cover with a domestic machine and achieve a superb finish with simple thread and a curved needle.
You’ll walk away with your very own 12“ x 12” practice prototype, as well as the best tips and tricks to apply to any upholstery project, whether it’s a new creation or a reupholstered seat.
Skills required: none at all, apart from finding your buttocks sitting so nicely on plump upholstery!
