Creative pyrography – creating a key wall hanging

Are you always looking for your keys everywhere? Would you like to try your hand at pyrography and create a useful decorative object to hang proudly in your hallway?

In this 3-hour workshop, Isabelle will introduce us to the world of pyrography and help us create a personalized wall key holder!

We’ll discover the basics of this decorative art: the equipment needed; tracing and transferring a sketch; the different methods of pyrography; and the right types of tips to use. We’ll then practice the fundamental techniques of tracing, shading and filling on solid wood, to bring texture and relief to our work.

Each participant will have a choice of several models and can bring a personal drawing (maximum dimensions 4 x 5 in.).

Skills required: none, apart from a love of wood and finding your keys quickly.
