Create your own leather pocket organizer and key ring

Would you like to learn how to work with leather and create two practical and useful objects? Would you like to make sure you never lose your keys again?

In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll take a closer look at leatherworking by making a hard-bottomed pocket organizer and a pompom key ring. We’ll start by learning about the various tools and techniques involved in basic leatherwork, using materials from the circular economy. Once you’ve chosen your pattern and leather parts, you’ll start cutting leather with templates, gluing, sewing with two needles and riveting.

The inside dimensions of the pocket organizer are 16.5 cm X 16.5 cm and 4 cm high, while the size of the key-ring is 7.5 cm X 1.6 cm.

Each participant can choose between several colors of leather and thread.

Skills required: none, apart from a little meticulousness and patience.
