Would you like to discover sewing by making a garment just for you? Do you dream of a light, comfortable dress to wear on any occasion during the hot summer months?
In this 4-hour workshop, we’ll make a pretty flared dress in flowing fabric, with a ribbon to cinch the waist and kimono-style sleeves! As the fabric is non-stretchy, it’s a great project to start sewing. You’ll learn the fundamentals of sewing and how to use a machine, while making a garment step by step. In particular, we’ll learn how to work straight and curved seams, how to apply a folded bias to the neckline and how to hem.
There will be several choices of fabric colors.
Skills required: none, this workshop is open to anyone who loves summer and dresses!
The price includes all materials, good humor and lots of professional advice!
NB: The pattern won’t be given at the end of the workshop. Also, workshop time is indicative, and may take longer for some participants. We therefore recommend that you don’t schedule an appointment right afterwards!
