Tufting and sewing training – creating a bi-material cushion cover

Reviews: Average review: 0 Number of reviews: ( 0) Level: Beginner Category: ,

Would you like to discover tufting while creating a unique and cozy decorative accessory? Would you like to embellish your sofa with a cheerful accent of color?

In this two-session course – 1 x 4h and 1 x 3h – textile design expert Emilie will guide you through the creation of a cushion cover, creating the front in loop-pile tufting, before sewing the fabric back.

In the first session, you’ll learn how to thread and handle the tufting gun, and how to make straight lines and curves to reproduce a pattern from our available visuals or as you wish. Due to lack of time, it will not be possible to make very elaborate designs.

During the second session, you’ll be introduced to the sewing machine to complete the cover, even adding a zipper.

You’ll be able to select your wool colors from our inventory, made available especially for the course.

The size of the cushion cover will be 18“ x 18”. It’s not possible to modify the size, but you can easily find a cushion cover in this format on the market.

Skills required: none. This workshop is suitable for both tufting and sewing beginners.

The price includes all materials and tools, as well as expert tufting and sewing advice.
