Have you ever dreamed of recreating a miniature world? Would you like to learn how to reproduce realistic scenes on a smaller scale, by carrying out all the steps of the process?

A diorama is a miniature replica of a structure, environment or scene that is meant to resemble reality. Over the course of 3 sessions, we will learn the different principles of making a diorama by creating a stunning aged facade with an elegantly framed door, fence and small roof.

We will work at 1:18 scale using various tools and simple materials to create a custom diorama.

Session 1: Introduction to the various tools and construction of the structure with foam board and a knife. Designing the door, step, stones, roof and fence. Learn techniques to give your miniature a realistic look.

Session 2: Mastering acrylic paint in multiple layers to give the wall, door, stones and fence an aged look, detail steps, and techniques to give the scene a realistic look.

Session 3: Creating the floor, vegetation, and mini flowerpots from cork sheets. Installation of the door, fence and wooden roof, as well as some finishing touches.

Everyone will have the opportunity to personalize their work by varying the colors, the vegetation, changing the shape of the door and the window…

Skills required: patience and attention to detail, and above all, the desire to learn a new art form.

The price includes all materials and equipment, as well as lots of pro tips!

Training sessions will take place on Thursdays, September 08, 15 and 29 – from 6pm to 9pm.

Note: this course is given in English only for the moment. But you don’t need to be fluent in English if you are a good observer!
