Would you like to go on long hikes to explore the wilderness? Are you mentally ready but don’t know how to organize yourself?
During this 3-hour workshop, led by Charles-Éric, you will discover everything you need to know to leave for several days in the wilderness, safely and with peace of mind. Among other things, you will learn how to:
Select your equipment (shoes, bag, tent, sleeping bag…),
Choose the right equipment according to the weather and the terrain,
Load your backpack correctly,
Think about your food, cook, use your stove,
Prevent equipment breakage and minor injuries,
Manage emergency situations (evacuation, extraction, emergency camp).
All the necessary equipment will be on site, but everyone can of course bring their own equipment to learn how to use it better.
Skills required: none, except maybe some hiking!
The price includes practice, good humor and a ton of valuable advice!
NB: The workshop will be held outdoors, so it is important to bring weather appropriate clothing, a bottle of water and a snack.
The meeting point will be at the Champs des Possibles, in Mile End. The exact coordinates will be communicated in the confirmation email.
