Understanding how to use and maintain a sewing machine

Reviews: Average review: 0 Number of reviews: ( 0) Level: Beginner Category: ,

Are you intimidated by your sewing machine? Does it sometimes frustrate you not to know it well, to the point of thinking of throwing it out of the window?

This 3-hour workshop will give you an in-depth understanding of how a home sewing machine works, as well as exploring the various accessories, stitches, presser feet and other features it can have.

You’ll also learn how to properly thread your machine and perform tension tests on samples. We’ll also cover the tricks of the trade, using practical tools such as screwdrivers, brushes and a vacuum cleaner.

You have the choice of bringing your own machine to get to know it better (it must be functional and you need to bring its user manual in paper or digital format) or you can use one of our sewing machines and leave with all the tips you need to buy the one that best suits your needs.

No skills required. Suitable for beginners, Sunday seamstresses and dressmakers, as well as experienced sewers who like to brush up on their skills.

Please note that this is not a repair shop. Problems can be complex and models too varied.

The price includes materials, tools, lots of good advice and a few bits of thread !
