Sewing Course – Creating the perfect linen dress

Do you dream of a unique linen dress with the arrival of the warm weather? Would you like to learn how to make a custom-made garment?

The Couture course is there to deepen your knowledge, to go further than the unique workshops, both by taking the time (6 sessions) to realize a more complex project, and by discovering all the steps to become autonomous.

During this course, Adam will accompany us in the realization of a classic: the linen dress! Everyone will be able to choose the design that suits them best and will have the choice of several colors.

Class 1-2: 

Adaptation of the basic template for the construction of a custom template

Pattern development on paper and pattern output

Course 3-4:

Fabric making and re-evaluation of adjustments and proportions

Tailoring of the dress in the chosen linen

Course 5-6:

Basic construction of the dress

Various techniques and finishes (bias, hems, zippers…)

In order to respect the time allotted to this course, we strongly recommend choosing a dress model without collar, without sleeve and with a maximum length below the knee.

This course includes 6 hours of autonomy to come and work on your project between sessions.

Skills required: have already sewn a garment or participated in one of our workshops.

The price includes all materials and lots of custom advice!

Sessions will take place on the same days, for 6 consecutive weeks: Tuesdays, April 25; May 02, 09, 16, 23, and 30 – 6-9pm. 

NB: The workshop time is indicative, and it may take longer for some participants. We recommend that you do not schedule an appointment right after!
