Do you want to learn how to quilt? Would you like to add a stylish touch to your kitchen by changing up your old burnt oven mitts?
This workshop is for you! Over the course of 3 hours, Adam will explain the basics of quilting and walk you through the process of making a custom oven mitt and trivet. You will learn the basics of the sewing machine and techniques to make strong seams, working with curves on thick fabric.
You will also learn how to build a quilt on a traditional sewing machine, how to adjust the size of the quilt according to a pattern, how to assemble a quilt with various materials and how to apply a finishing bias.
Skills required: none, not even in the kitchen!
