How can I make my furniture square and solid? How to make and install a drawer and a door with the right hardware (slides and hinges)?
This 12-hour course (4 sessions of 3 hours each) will be an opportunity to learn more about furniture making. We will learn the basic techniques to build storage modules such as kitchen furniture, bathroom furniture or closets!
To practice, we will make a box with a drawer and a door. This will serve as a support to understand the installation of the slides and hinges. We will learn all about hardware and construction standards so that you can make informed choices about your future projects.
We will take the opportunity to learn how to use different machines and tools such as: the bench saw, the drill press, the mitre saw, the pneumatic nailers, and the sanding stations.
We will also cover different techniques such as: wood cutting, assembly, hardware installation, sanding.
To allow you to advance your furniture, 4 hours of autonomous use of the workshop will be offered to you in addition to the 12 hours of classes.
Skills required: accessible to beginners, this workshop is open to all.

Sessions for the course, which begins on April 17, will be held on Mondays, April 17 and 24 and on May 1st and 8 from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Sessions for the intensive course, which begins on May 21 at Petite Italie will be held on Sundays, May 21 and 28 from 10 am to 5 pm. (Don’t forget your lunch!)
