Would you like to learn woodturning? Would you like to relive the simple pleasures of childhood by enjoying an egg in an egg cup?
During this four-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of woodturning by making a durable, eco-friendly, and unique object: an egg cup! You will be introduced to the wood lathe and the tools used with it. We will then cover the fundamentals of between-the-points turning, chuck turning, and the various techniques involved in this discipline: drawing, using roughing and profiling gouges, tracing, profiling, understanding sandblasting and learning the technique to add a touch of color to your egg cup, and preparing the piece for finishing.
Required skills: none, everyone is welcome!
The price includes all the necessary materials and plenty of professional advice so you’ll never mess up your boiled eggs again.
NB: The egg cup will have a diameter of 40 mm x 30 mm deep. Ideal for large eggs, but not for ostrich eggs!
