Woodwoking class – Making a chess game

Are you a chess lover who has always dreamed of having your own beautiful solid wood board to perfect your game? Do you want to try your hand at woodworking?

During these 4 sessions of 3 hours, Guillaume, will guide you to build your own chess board.

During the first part of this course (2 sessions) you will be trained to use the wood lathe to shape the pieces.
The second part of the course (2 sessions) will be used to make the game board. We will use walnut and Montreal ash.

This course will be the perfect opportunity to discover woodworking using different machines and techniques, such as :
bench saw, miter saw, band saw, planer, router, wood lathe, gluing, tongue and groove assembly, sanding, finishing (varnish and oils)…

Skills required: None, other than loving to play chess!

Dimensions: 12″ x 12″ for the checkerboard and 16″ x 16″ for the total.

In addition to the 4 sessions, this Course offers you complimentary access to 6 hours of self-paced workshop time to advance your board between sessions.

The price includes all necessary materials, including a game of chess with the instructor.
