Carving level II – Sculpting your spoon

Reviews: Average review: 5 Number of reviews: (1) Level: Intermediate Category:

Would you like to deepen your knowledge of woodcarving? Would you like to learn how to make your own wooden kitchen utensils that will follow you wherever you go?

In this 3h30 workshop, bushcraft and carving enthusiast Jesse will teach us how to carve a complex object: a unique, personalized Scandinavian-style spoon.

Building on the skills acquired in Level I, we’ll discover new carving and design techniques, such as hollow shapes with a crooked knife. We’ll also see more advanced cuts that give you more power and control, as well as 3D curves.

We’ll be looking for the sweet spot between beauty and function, where the object is strong and durable, yet as light and elegant as possible.

Skills required: you’ll need to have taken the Level I carving workshop – making a butter knife.

PS: If you are left-handed, please write to us so that we can provide you with the necessary tools.

The price includes all necessary materials, expert advice and plenty of zen.
