Introduction to the machines and tools you need to work with wood

Would you like a complete course to become autonomous on Les Affûtés machines? Want to know how to use the right tool at the right time, safely?

This 4 x 3-hour course combines the material from Induction Workshops with hands-on practice on the machines and tools you need to work with wood.

You can expect to experience the following:

  • – Miter saws, band saws, drill presses and sanders
  • – Bench saw, including various blades for different uses
  • – Planer and jointer
  • – Hand-held radial saws, jigsaws, track saws, drills, screwdrivers and nailers
  • – Different measuring tools, clamp types and which tool to choose for which hole, or which drill bit for which screw.
  • – The right gestures for preparing wood and gluing techniques once it’s ready.

Skills required: None. This course is open to beginners as well as to those who want to deepen their knowledge and be able to use the machines independently for their projects.

The price includes all necessary knowledge and practice under the supervision of a professional cabinetmaker.
