Adored for its melodious voice and angelic appearance, the lyre is an ancient instrument still very popular today. It is also an accessible object, both in its design and in its approach to music.
During this 4-hour workshop, animated by Enzo, we will approach the different steps of a violin maker’s work: the cutting of the wood, the drilling, the gluing, the acoustic tests, the perfect sanding and the tuning of the instrument. You will also learn to use several woodworking machines, such as the band saw, drill press, jigsaw, router and sanders.
Skills required: none, this workshop is open to all stringed instrument enthusiasts!
