Do you like woodworking and a cosy atmosphere? Would you like to create a beautiful, useful and decorative object to sit proudly in your living room?
In this 4-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of woodworking by making a large floor lamp and its wooden shade! In the first part, we’ll make the lampshade and its support. The second part will focus on the lamp base, using solid wood from the circular economy.
This will be an opportunity to learn how to use a variety of machines, such as: the saw bench with a Dado blade; the drill press; the band saw; the miter saw; the table router; the pneumatic nailer; and sanders. You’ll also learn about various woodworking techniques, such as half-timber assembly, angled drilling, veneer work and glue-and-nail assembly.
Skills required: none, all lamp enthusiasts are welcome!
Price includes all materials and lots of professional advice!
