Wooden course – Making a shoe storage bench

This wood course is here to deepen your knowledge over 4 sessions. We will make a small bench that can also be used as a shoe storage.

In this wood course, we will approach different techniques and tricks to work with solid wood. We will use ash (local wood from Montreal). For the more adventurous, it will also be possible to make light details in walnut. During the course, we will discover the use of the following machines: mitre saw, bench saw, planer and jointer.

Day 1: Basic training of the machines
Day 2: Cutting plan and gluing
Day 3: Cutting the parts
Day 4: Assembly and finishing

This course also gives you access to 4 hours of independent workshop time, to advance your project between each session.

The course sessions are held in the evening once a week, over 4 consecutive weeks – the same day, at the same time. (Mondays April 26, May 3, 10 and 17 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm)
