Wooden course – Making a bedside table

Would you like to develop your woodworking skills? Would you like to add a retro touch to your room with a bedside table that has a unique style?

During this 12-hour course (4 sessions of 3 hours each), Sophie will guide you in the creation of a mid-century style bedside table and reveal the secrets of the tambour door! During the sessions, we will discover the work of solid wood, as well as plywood panels.

We will practice different woodworking techniques and the use of different machines, such as: making a groove with a plunge router; bending with a band saw; making sheathed legs with a bench saw; or cookie joinery.

Session 1 : Presentation of the object, plans and machines. Preparation of the parts of the casing and the drum door.

Session 2 : Stages and assembly of the box

Session 3 : End of the assembly of the box and beginning of the realization of the base

Session 4 : Finishing the base, assembling the furniture and finishing

Skills required: none, this workshop is open to all!

The price includes all necessary materials and Sophie’s advice.

The dates of the sessions that start on November 28, at the Village are Mondays November 28, December 05, 12 and 19 – from 6pm to 9pm.
