Would you like to develop your woodworking skills? Would you like to add a retro touch to your room with a bedside table that has a unique style?
During this 18-hour course (6 sessions of 3 hours each), Sophie will guide you in the creation of a mid-century style bedside table and reveal the secrets of the tambour door! During the sessions, we will discover the work of solid wood, as well as plywood panels.
We will practice different woodworking techniques and the use of different machines, such as: making a groove with a plunge router; bending with a band saw; making sheathed legs with a bench saw; or Kreg and rebated assemblies.
Session 1 : Presentation of the object, plans and machines. Preparation of the parts of the casing and the drum door.
Session 2: Stages and assembly of the box
Session 3: Finishing the assembly of the box
Session 4 and 5 : making the base
Session 6 : assembling the furniture and finishing
Skills required: none, this workshop is open to all curious!
The price includes all necessary materials and Sophie’s advice.
In addition to the 6 sessions, the Wood Course gives you free access to 6 hours of independent workshop, to advance your project between sessions.
