Do you want to learn screen printing on textiles? Do you dream of transforming a fabric that you have screen printed yourself, into a garment or accessory?

This multi-skill course is for you!

During these 4 sessions of 3 hours, we will learn two different skills, screen printing and sewing.

In the first part of the course (2 sessions) Anne-Laure, screen printer of ”Grand A petit b”, will make us discover the basics of screen printing. We will see different techniques such as the creation and repetition of patterns. We will prepare our own screen printing frame and then print our design on cotton fabric. We will use a quality water-based ink.

In the second part of the course (2 sessions), Léa, a seamstress, will help us transform our fabric. We will approach different techniques such as: the fundamentals of sewing, the process of making a garment or accessories, adjusting a pattern, cutting, assembling, placing an invisible bias, placing a pocket, finishing…
We will have the choice to make either a loose-fitting jacket or a bag (see photo).

Skills required: none, beginners are welcome!

The price of the workshop includes all necessary materials, ink, frame, fabric and the advice of two professionals!

PS: for the screen printing sessions, feel free to come with an apron or an old t-shirt.

NB: The workshop time is indicative, and it may take longer for some participants. We therefore recommend that you do not schedule an appointment right after!

Sessions will be held on Fridays, February 11, 18, 25 and March 4, 6 to 9 p.m.
