Our woodworking classes
Les Affutés organizes a wide range of woodworking workshops, taught by an expert, to develop our skills, in short and down-to-earth formats, for both complete beginners and amateurs.
You can learn to build a shelf, a planter, a skateboard, renovate a furniture, use a lathe… And if you want to go deeper, you will find the “Intronisations”, to learn to use the machines, and the “Parcours Bois”, to learn the more advanced techniques.
All the teachers are bilingual, to mix English-speaking and French-speaking pupils in the same class.
All woodworking classes are held at Les Affûtés, 6552 Boulevard Saint Laurent, Montréal. And you can than use the makerspace to use your new skills!
Woodworking at les Affûtés includes:
Group workshops, on one or more sessions, to discover woodworking or to improve your skills
A collaborative makerspace, with the tools and materials (wood, screws…) to build your wood projects
Individuals sessions with an expert woodworker to help you build your project from A to Z
Who give the woodworking classes?
The teachers, who are called the Affûteurs (“the Sharpeners”), have been specialists in woodworking for several years and love the idea of sharing their skills to make the students autonomous. They’re all bilingual (English/French).
A class to learn woodworking between friends?
We often organize furniture building sessions, especially for groups of friends or corporate teams.
