Would you like to spruce up your beloved bicycle with a cute accessory? Or perhaps you want to be free to do your shopping with your bicycle without being encumbered by heavy bags?
During this 3.5-hour workshop, basketmaker, Fabienne Clément, will show you how to make a lovely woven basket for your bike, both pretty and practical. Starting with a closed braided base, you will learn the weaving technique called: one row at a time. The basket is placed on the front handlebars of the bike, and is secured with two leather ties. You will also be shown how to insert two cotton straps that allows you to transform the bicycle basket into a traditional basket, ideal for running small errands or even a picnic. You will then learn how to finish the basket with a border to give a beautiful finish.
