You would like to discover woodturning, but don’t know where to start? Would you like to make a refined, personalized tool that you’ll keep forever?

In this 3.5-hour workshop, Diana will introduce you to the basics of woodturning by making something as beautiful as it is useful: a ratchet screwdriver with a solid wood handle! We’ll be introduced to the woodturning lathe, its functions and associated tools. We’ll then take a look at the fundamentals of woodturning and the various techniques involved: drawing, using roughing and profiling gouges, tracing, profiling, understanding sanding and preparing the part for finishing.

Once the handle has been turned, the ratchet screwdriver kit will be installed, featuring a shaft with reversible multi-function bits (flat and Phillips). There’s a choice of wood species and designs, so you can build your own unique tool!

Skills required: none – everyone is welcome, even non-do-it-yourselfers.

The price includes all necessary materials, professional advice and unlimited wood shavings!

J’ai aimé découvrir le tour à bois, et qu’on ait le temps de bien terminer notre objet, y compris la finition du bois à la cire d’abeille.
