Would you like to learn basketry and discover the secrets of rattan weaving? Would you like mini-you to proudly display a beautiful backpack basket?
In this 3.5-hour workshop, basketmaker Fabienne Clément will help you create an elegant and durable Adirondack-style mini backpack basket for kids!
We’ll learn the technique of continuous braiding with an tight braided base. We’ll see how to insert colorful rattan strands and finish the basket with a border.
This lightweight, sturdy and stylish basket is perfect for picking, markets and hiking! Everyone will be able to choose from a variety of braid colors.
Skills required: none, except a little patience!
The price includes all materials and tools required, plus Fabienne’s good humor and great advice!
Budding craftspeople aged 10 and over are welcome (one child per parent – limit of 2 children per workshop – please write to us to let us know).
