In this 3h30 workshop, Diana will introduce you to the basics of woodturning by making a duo of personalized objects: a bottle opener and a corkscrew! We’ll be introduced to the wood lathe, its functions and associated tools. We’ll then cover the fundamentals of interlock turning and the various techniques involved: drawing, using roughing and profiling gouges, tracing, profiling, understanding sanding and preparing the piece for finishing.
