You already have some knowledge and independence in woodworking, but you want to challenge yourself again? Would you like to work on a larger project that is still useful in your daily life?

Then this course is for you!

A chair is not a simple object, it is a design, but also ergonomics. By completing this course, you will have a good foundation to make all the chairs you need at home.

This 6 session course, led by Guillaume, our workshop leader, will allow you to make your first solid wood chair from raw boards.

We will cover different techniques such as: reading and understanding plans, planning the manufacturing process, preparing machining lines, using project specific templates, complex gluing.

Type of wood used: various woods depending on what you find in our cuttings (walnut, chain, pine, cherry, ash, cherry).
Skills required: it is necessary to have participated in a wood induction workshop or a wood course with us and to know how to use the following tools: jointer, planer, saw bench.

In addition to the 6 sessions, this course gives you free access to 12 hours of independent workshops to advance your project between sessions.

The price includes all materials and the advice of a professional woodworker.

For the course starting on June 1st, the sessions will take place on the same days, at the same time, for 6 consecutive weeks. (Thursdays June 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th and July 6th ans 13th from 6pm to 9pm)
